WORSHIP SCHEDULE

In-person worship SUNDAY @ 9AM

Our Mission: To make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

Who we are & what we believe

There are no perfect people here. We are ordinary people who have hurts, habits, and hang-ups. But we are also people who are striving to know and be known by God. We are a community where anyone is welcome to experience Jesus’ saving grace and become part of something much bigger themselves... The Kingdom of God.

We are Christians who affirm the faith passed down from Christ and the apostles. We believe in the mystery of salvation in Jesus Christ by faith through grace, We affirm the Triune God (The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), and We believe the scriptures give us what we need to know to become followers of Jesus Christ.

Deeper Discipleship is at the core of who we are. The church is not a community center nor a country club– We believe the church is a hospital for the soul where we can receive healing and become a healing presence in our broken world. We strive to be the hands and feet of Christ in our world to share the Love of God!

Prayer meetings

A group of folks dedicated to the ministry of prayer gather each Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. to pray for specific needs. Please join us!

Our Story

Forsyth United Methodist Church began as a dream of a small Bible Study group in 1978. The dream became a reality in 1979 with the church being chartered with 48 members. To help finance much of the church building, its altar furnishings, railing and light fixtures, members gave their time and skills to built them. On July 1, 1980, only one year from chartering, 200 people gathered for the Service of Consecration. In 1982 they added Sunday School rooms, a Fellowship Hall and kitchen; 1987 brought the purchase of the parsonage and an organ.

Our church has been in the community for many years with the continued goal of creating an atmosphere of discipleship where all are welcomed to bring their hurts, habits, and hang-ups and be healed by the power of Jesus Christ.
